The inaugural game of the Naruto: Path of the Ninja series, Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō, was released in 2003 exclusively for the Bandai WonderSwan Color in Japan. This handheld console, launched in 1999, never made it outside of Japan, much like the game itself. The storyline revolves around the Land of Waves arc, supplemented with additional missions undertaken by Team 7.

2. Naruto: Konoha Senki (2003)

Also exclusive to Japan, Naruto: Konoha Senki was developed by Tomy and released in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. This title covers the narrative up to the first 70 episodes of the Naruto series, including the Land of Waves and Chūnin Exams arcs. Players initially control Team 7 and Kakashi, with the option to unlock additional characters after the first playthrough.

3. Naruto: Path of the Ninja (2004)

Despite being the third game in the series, Naruto: Path of the Ninja was developed by Tomy and released in 2004. It debuted on the Nintendo DS in Japan and was later adapted for the Game Boy Advance for a worldwide audience. The game follows the early arcs of the anime, culminating in the Chūnin Exams.
