HoYoverse Opens Registration for Honkai: Nexus Anima CBT

HoYoverse is inviting players to register for the upcoming Honkai: Nexus Anima closed beta. This is the latest entry in the Honkai series—a creature-collecting adventure strategy game blending multiple genres.

It’s the game’s first closed beta

The Honkai: Nexus Anima CBT is officially called the Nexus Bond Test. Registrations open today, August 29th, 2025, at 12:00 UTC+8, and will close on September 12th, 2025, at 23:59 UTC+8.

Applications are available for PC and iOS only—Android support is not included this time. Only a limited number of players who pre-register and complete a questionnaire will be selected. The beta will include a full data wipe upon completion, as the game remains in active development.

The project was first hinted at during the Honkai: Star Rail anniversary concert in May 2025. This latest reveal offers the first detailed glimpse into the game. Take a look at Honkai: Nexus Anima below.

In Nexus Anima, you play as a traveler who escapes captivity and embarks on a journey through a shattered world. Here, connections between opposing forces—like Light and Dark, or Life and Death—are known as Nexus. These bonds have now fractured, scattering their essence as Anima across the land. These Anima become your companions in both exploration and battle.

Each Anima embodies a unique theme and personality. You’ll encounter elemental spirits such as Light, Dark, and Memory, food-inspired bonds like Satiation and Insatiability, and path-based traits including Love, Hate, Regret, Competition, and Peace.

As your journey unfolds, you’ll unravel the secrets behind the broken Nexus and the protagonist’s hidden past. Two familiar faces—Blade from Honkai: Star Rail and Kiana from Honkai Impact 3rd—are confirmed to appear at launch, bridging this new title to the broader Honkai universe.
