Marvel Rivals Comments on 30 FPS Bug

Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue

Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage at lower frame rates (FPS) can rest assured – developers are actively working on a fix. This issue, primarily affecting heroes like Dr. Strange and Wolverine, has been confirmed by the development team. The problem stems from a client-side prediction mechanism impacting damage calculations at 30 FPS.

The bug manifests as decreased damage output for certain heroes and abilities, particularly noticeable against stationary targets. While Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw are confirmed affected abilities, a complete list of impacted heroes and moves is yet to be released.

Although a precise fix date isn't available, the developers are confident that the upcoming Season 1 launch on January 11th will significantly mitigate, if not entirely resolve, this problem. If the Season 1 update doesn't completely eliminate the issue, further patches are planned.

Despite early concerns about hero balance, Marvel Rivals has enjoyed considerable success since its December 2025 launch, boasting an 80% approval rating from over 132,000 Steam reviews. This ongoing effort to address the FPS-related damage bug demonstrates the developers' commitment to providing a polished and enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
