Author:Kristen Update:Dec 16,2025

Ryan Reynolds is in preliminary discussions to develop a Deadpool and X-Men crossover movie, though no formal proposal has been presented to Marvel yet.

According to THR, Reynolds envisions an ensemble film where Deadpool takes a supporting role, allowing three or four X-Men characters to lead the narrative in surprising ways.

This project, distinct from the X-Men film penned by Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie, mirrors the development path of Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds often refines his concepts independently before pitching to Marvel, with Deadpool & Wolverine initially conceived as a modest road trip film.

This isn't the first mention of Reynolds crafting an ensemble Deadpool project, but new details shed light on the potential adventures awaiting the Merc With a Mouth.

The X-Men characters joining Deadpool remain unconfirmed, but the character has a history of collaborating with X-Men like Wolverine, Colossus, Sabertooth, Pyro, and Channing Tatum’s Gambit in previous films.
