Remedy Unveils Latest Game Development Projects

According to Remedy's latest annual report, Control 2 has successfully advanced past the concept validation stage and is now in full production. This marks a significant milestone, solidifying the project's forward momentum. Developed using Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, which has proven its effectiveness in games like Alan Wake 2, Control 2 is set to be a self-published title with a budget of 50 million euros. Gamers can look forward to its release on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC.

In addition to Control 2, Remedy is also actively developing two other exciting projects: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these titles were merely in the preparation phase for production, but they have now progressed to the next stage. FBC: Firebreak, budgeted at 30 million euros, will be accessible through PlayStation and Xbox subscription services at launch, as well as on Steam and the Epic Games Store. While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, they are confirmed to be AAA-level games fully funded by Rockstar Games for development and marketing.

However, not all projects have made it through. Kestrel, which was in development in collaboration with Tencent, has been canceled and removed from Remedy's plans since May of last year.

All these titles leverage the capabilities of the Northlight engine, showcasing Remedy's commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences across various platforms.
