New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) is set to revolutionize gameplay with a feature designed for players who may struggle with boss fights. In the latest episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts on April 14, Hideo Kojima, the director of DS2, unveiled that players can now opt to bypass combat entirely.

If a player fails a boss fight, they can choose to press "continue" on the game over screen. This action will allow them to progress past the boss without combat, instead presenting them with images and text descriptions that unfold the battle's story in a visual novel format. This approach not only maintains the game's narrative flow but also makes it accessible to a broader audience.

Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete

Hideo Kojima shared exciting progress on DS2, stating that the game is now approximately 95% complete. He metaphorically described the development stage as being at "10 o’clock (PM)" of a 24-hour cycle, with just "2 hours left" until completion.

DS2 is poised to pick up right where the original left off. At last month's South by South West (SXSW), Kojima Productions and Sony provided a detailed look at the game, including a 10-minute trailer that highlighted new story elements and characters, sparking significant interest among fans.
