The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio comprised of ex-CD Projekt RED developers, recently unveiled their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, in a comprehensive livestream. The stream featured a captivating four-minute cinematic trailer, serving as the game's opening narrative sequence.

Set in a 14th-century alternate Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man who acquires supernatural abilities after the events depicted in the trailer. His mission: rescue his loved ones from a vampire threat within a strict 30-day timeframe. While time progresses only during specific gameplay segments, strategic time management is crucial.

Coen faces a significant moral quandary: embrace his burgeoning vampiric nature or cling to his humanity. This pivotal choice significantly impacts both gameplay mechanics and the overarching storyline. A key mechanic is "Blood Hunger," forcing players to carefully manage Coen's blood intake to prevent him from losing control and inadvertently harming crucial characters, resulting in unforeseen consequences.

Players will navigate richly detailed environments, with dynamic elements influenced by the time of day. The developers characterize the open world as a "narrative sandbox," offering extensive freedom and player agency.

Currently two years in development using Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A specific release date remains unannounced.
