Android Unveils Mystical "My Father Lied"

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Developer Ahmed Alameen, originally a writer and filmmaker, wasn't initially aiming for game development. A 2020 collaboration idea with a college friend fizzled, but the core narrative stuck with him. Alameen, self-teaching 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, embarked on a solo journey to bring his vision to life, even collaborating with his wife on the game's title.

Unraveling the Mystery

The game plunges players into a mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists. Players take on the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.

My Father Lied masterfully blends 7000 years of Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, avoiding complex controls, and boasts beautiful 2D visuals and immersive 360-degree images.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC on May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are anticipated in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the game's official Kickstarter or Steam page.
