AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Release Confirmed

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 09,2026

AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, finally building on the momentum generated by the RX 9070 XT in March. Still, the company has kept details sparse regarding this new mid-range graphics card.

The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT comes equipped with 32 Compute Units and 16 GB of GDDR6 memory—generous hardware for a card aimed primarily at 1080p gaming. Given its relatively compact GPU design, it should consume significantly less power than the RX 9070 XT, with a Total Board Power rating between 150 W and 182 W.

But with half the Compute Units and roughly half the power draw of the RX 9070 XT, the new card is expected to be far less powerful—though likely more affordable. Unfortunately, AMD has yet to share pricing or a release date.

The Battle for Budget Gamers Is On

Although AMD hasn’t announced a price for the Radeon RX 9060 XT, it will probably be priced competitively against Intel’s Arc B580 and the recently released RTX 5060. Both of those cards feature power targets of 145 W and 190 W, respectively, and originally launched around the $250–$300 mark. AMD is almost certainly eyeing the same market segment.

That means, once the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT launches—whenever that happens—shoppers looking for a GPU around $300 will have three options from three different manufacturers. If the Radeon stays within that price bracket, it could hold a unique advantage: it would be the only model in its class with 16 GB of VRAM, versus 8 GB from Nvidia and 12 GB from Intel.

We’ll have to test the card in our lab to see real-world performance, but if the GPU keeps pace with rivals, the extra VRAM could help it stay relevant longer as games demand more graphics memory. While final pricing remains uncertain, the RX 9060 XT looks like one of the most compelling budget GPUs to keep an eye on.
