Alan Wake 2 Creators Strive to Become "Europe

Remedy Entertainment's ambition: To become Europe's answer to Naughty Dog. Inspired by Naughty Dog's cinematic masterpieces, particularly the Uncharted series, Remedy aims for similar heights, according to Alan Wake 2 director Kyle Rowley. In a Behind The Voice podcast interview, Rowley detailed how this aspiration shaped Quantum Break and, significantly, Alan Wake 2.

Rowley's statement, "We should aspire to be the European version of Naughty Dog," underscores Remedy's goal. This influence is clearly seen in Alan Wake 2's cinematic presentation, lauded for its stunning visuals and gripping narrative. The game's success firmly establishes Remedy's place among Europe's top studios.

Remedy's vision extends beyond the horror genre. Naughty Dog's dominance in single-player cinematic experiences, exemplified by Uncharted and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us (a PlayStation cornerstone and one of gaming's most decorated franchises), serves as a benchmark.

Alan Wake 2, even over a year post-launch, receives ongoing updates. These enhancements include a significant optimization for the PS5 Pro, introducing a "Balanced" graphics mode that cleverly combines aspects of the Performance and Quality modes.

This update also refines the game's graphical settings on all platforms, aiming for a smoother framerate and a cleaner visual presentation. In addition to the PS5 Pro improvements, several minor gameplay bugs, particularly within the Lake House expansion, have been addressed.
