Cast Your Vote: Like a Dragon 20th Anniversary Merch Voting Project Runs Until March 21, 2025

This December 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the beloved Like A Dragon (LAD) series, and Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio is celebrating in style! They've launched a special fan voting project, allowing fans to choose their favorite in-game items to be transformed into real-world merchandise.

Over 100 items are up for grabs, ranging from the unexpected (lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles) to the iconic (Kiryu's dragon mask, a karaoke microphone, even 20th-anniversary sake!). The top-voted item is guaranteed to be produced and released within the next two years, according to the RGG voting website.

Voting began February 8, 2025, and runs until March 21, 2025. Fans can cast one vote per day. Following the voting period, a separate survey will determine the final design of the winning item.

RGG Studio first hinted at their 20th-anniversary plans in a December 8, 2024, Twitter (X) post celebrating their 19th anniversary. Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed gratitude to fans and teased upcoming events and announcements.

Kicking off the celebrations, Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches February 20, 2025. While further details on other anniversary events remain under wraps, the studio's 10th-anniversary celebrations—which included the announcement of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami remakes—offer a tantalizing glimpse of what might be in store. Fans eagerly anticipate further announcements.

RGG Studio announced the PC requirements for LAD: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii via Twitter (X) on February 10, 2025. The recommended graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, making the game accessible to most modern gaming PCs.

With releases planned for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC specifications are relatively undemanding. RGG Studio also confirmed Steam Deck verification.

SEGA recently released a story trailer on YouTube, showcasing Majima's high-seas adventure narrated by the Pirate King Raymond Law, voiced by wrestling star Samoa Joe.
