WoW Unveils Recolored Mounts with Restrictions

Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are making their debut in WoW China, starting January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.

The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, reminiscent of its predecessor, boasts a unique feature: auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight. These clouds, symbolic of peace and good fortune in Chinese culture, add a distinct flair to this majestic mount.

The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of the original, sports a sleek black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."

These mounts are obtainable through separate promotions: the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk via a "Treasure Workshop" event, and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar from Landro's Loot Box (¥200, approximately $27). The Loot Box offers a chance at various rewards, including other coveted items like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.

Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally, leaving players outside China to admire them from afar. This release follows the successful return of WoW to China after a partnership renewal between NetEase and Blizzard.
