While the excitement of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event may have subsided, the game continues to thrive with engaging events like Turbulent Timeways, keeping players entertained as they eagerly await the upcoming Patch 11.1 later this year. Originally introduced during a content lull in Dragonflight, this event has made a triumphant return, offering a unique reward for those dedicated enough to secure the Mastery of Timeways buff multiple times.

Turbulent Timeways Event Explained

Unlike the typical spread-out weekly Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs a punch with five consecutive Timewalking events running from January 1 to February 25. Each week will immerse players in a different set of Timewalking dungeons from various expansions. The schedule is as follows:

• Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (1/07 to 1/14)
• Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (1/14 to 1/21)
• Week 3: Legion (1/21 to 1/28)
• Week 4: Classic (1/28 to 2/04)
• Week 5: The Burning Crusade (2/04 to 2/11)
• Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (2/11 to 2/18)
• Week 7: Cataclysm (2/18 to 2/25)

Every time you conquer a Timewalking Dungeon, you'll earn a stack of the Knowledge of Timeways buff. This buff, lasting for two hours and not expiring on death, boosts your experience gains from monster kills and quest completions by five percent. Accumulate four stacks, and the buff evolves into Mastery of Timeways. This enhanced version lasts for three hours and amplifies your experience gain by a whopping 30%. Like its predecessor, Mastery of Timeways persists through death, and its timer resets with each subsequent Timewalking Dungeon completion.

To unlock Mastery of Timeways, you must gather four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways before they expire. Avoid going AFK for too long to prevent losing your stacks. Should the Knowledge of Timeways buff expire before reaching four stacks, you'll need to start over from scratch.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond the leveling benefits of the Mastery of Timeways buff, this event offers enticing rewards. One highlight is the Sandy Shalewing mount, available for purchase from Timewalking Vendors at a cost of 5,000 Timewarped Badges. This mount, a favorite from the previous Turbulent Timeways event during Dragonflight, makes a welcome return.

Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits those who can achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks that Turbulent Timeways is active. This challenging yet rewarding goal adds an extra layer of excitement to the event.
