WoW Patch 11.1 Expands Beyond Undermine with New Areas

Summary

  • World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, titled "Undermined," introduces Undermine and two new subzones, Gutterville and Kaja'Coast.
  • Gutterville, located in the southeastern corner of the Ringing Deeps, may connect to Undermine's corrupted area and hosts Excavation Site 9.
  • Kaja'Coast, a new Goblin camp in Zuldazar near Bilgewater Bonanza, is likely another entry point to Undermine.

In the upcoming World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, dubbed "Undermined," players will delve into the bustling underground Goblin capital of Undermine. This new zone is packed with towering buildings, narrow streets, and an array of quirky contraptions, offering a fresh and exciting environment to explore.

Beyond Undermine, Patch 11.1 introduces two additional subzones that enrich the game's world. Gutterville, situated in the southeastern part of the Ringing Deeps, is poised to be a significant addition. This area is expected to serve as an entry point to Undermine and features a corrupted section marked by Black Blood, hinting at darker adventures. Excavation Site 9, one of the new Delves in Patch 11.1, will be located here, promising challenging and rewarding gameplay.

Meanwhile, on the southwestern coast of Zuldazar, the Kaja’Coast emerges as a new Goblin-themed region near the Bilgewater Bonanza. This area, likely connected to an old Azerite mining operation, is speculated to house the drill-like tram showcased in the initial announcement of Patch 11.1 during the Warcraft Direct. This makes Kaja'Coast another probable ingress into the subterranean city of Undermine.

The map of Undermine features a central hub named Slam Central Station, which appears to be the primary arrival point for players. With five visible terminals on the map, and assuming Gutterville and Kaja'Coast occupy two of these, there could be three more locations on Azeroth slated for Goblin-themed enhancements in the update.

While Patch 11.1 does not yet have an official release date, it is anticipated to launch in mid to late February. However, eager players can get a sneak peek when the update hits the Public Test Realm in early January, allowing them to explore the new World of Warcraft content firsthand.
