Witcher 4 Creators Support Blood of Dawnwalker Authors, No Competition with Rebel Wolves

Gamers have been abuzz with excitement following the release of the first trailer for *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, drawing inevitable comparisons to *The Witcher 4*. This new project, crafted by former CD Projekt Red (CDPR) staff members, showcases striking similarities in ambiance and style that have not gone unnoticed by fans. The resemblance has sparked a lively debate about which game might outshine the other in the realm of success.

However, the developers of both games, as well as their former colleagues, have been quick to clarify that such comparisons are unwarranted. An X user expressed a sentiment of mutual respect and coexistence, stating, "Dawnwalker looks amazing, just like The Witcher 4. Both works can exist together. One game doesn't mean the other is dead. It's not a competition. Let's show respect."

Patrick K. Mills, a veteran designer who contributed to *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, reinforced the notion of camaraderie over competition. He remarked, "Anyone who tries to compare these games is doing the devil's work. The teams have a long history together, we hang out together, we play games together, our group chats are full of praise for each team. There's nothing but love here. The culture war will remain a culture war, but these games share a common origin and common values."

Adding to the conversation, Philippe Weber, the narrative director for *The Witcher 4*, highlighted the shared creative inspirations between the two projects. He shared, "Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz and I were joking today about how the eyes in the dark in our two trailers were used as references to the TV series Midnight Mass to sell the idea early on. Many of the creators of the two games are friends, and we love seeing our friends succeed!"

Rebel Wolves, the studio behind *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, has set its sights on an ambitious goal: to forge a new series of games that can stand toe-to-toe with renowned franchises. Based on the initial trailer, it's clear that *The Blood of Dawnwalker* holds the potential to become a project as impressive as those from CDPR.
