Varlamore Unveils Darkness in OSRS Update

Old School RuneScape's latest chapter, Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, has arrived, introducing a thrilling new adventure in the expanded northern regions. Players face a formidable challenge: conquering the massive serpent Hueycoatl in the treacherous Hailstorm Mountains. This perilous journey requires forging alliances with unexpected allies—members of the Dwarven Party and a priest—to overcome this fearsome beast.

Victorious players will be richly rewarded with impressive loot, including the Tome of Earth and the Dragon Hunter Wand, the first magic-infused dragonbane weapon. The Hueycoatl Hide Armour serves as a testament to the player's triumph.

Beyond the icy peaks, the island of Aldarin offers a new dimension to the Herblore skill, providing opportunities to cultivate, mix, and master alchemy with a diverse range of herbs.

For a change of pace, the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course presents a unique challenge. Players can assist Worm Tongue, an aging anteater, in ridding the Colossal Wyrm's remains of a termite infestation. This endeavor rewards players with Agility XP and exciting prizes, such as the Varlamore Graceful Recolour and a skeleton transmog for their Squirrel pet.

The narrative continues the storyline established in Children of the Sun and Twilight’s Promise with the new quest, The Heart of Darkness. Players investigate the Twilight Emissaries to uncover the identity of Servius's would-be assassin.
