Urshifu, Gigantamax Machamp Debut in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week

As the curtains draw on the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO, trainers are gearing up for the grand finale titled Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This electrifying event will commence on May 21st, 2025, and run through to May 27th, offering players the ultimate opportunity to evolve their Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu, available in two distinct forms.

What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of dedication and battles, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is your chance to see your Kubfu transform. Depending on your battle strategy, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style of Urshifu. To achieve the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, you'll need to take down 30 Water-types instead.

Additionally, a Special Research tied to the Seasonal storyline will be available until June 3rd, 2025. This research offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, including Charcadet with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can engage in six-star Max Battles featuring the debut of Gigantamax Machamp. During this event, trainers will benefit from several bonuses.

You'll only need to travel one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles, and the storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600. All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles, yielding 8× Max Particles during this period, and you'll be able to perform two extra Special Trades.

Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, although the power boost remains constant.
