Umamusume: Pretty Derby is charging toward its English-language release, delivering its horse girl racing simulation to a global audience. Cygames shared via Twitter (X) on April 27 that the game will launch on June 26, 2025, with pre-registration opening April 28.

Originally launched in Japan on February 24, 2021, for iOS, Android, and PC, the game weaves a captivating tale of legendary racehorses reincarnated as "horse girls" or "Umamusume." These characters, blending the look of high school girls with horse-like ears, tails, stamina, and speed, train at Tokyo's Tracen Academy to become celebrated racers and idols.

Per its Steam page, the game immerses players in a vibrant sports life simulation, featuring a detailed training system and stunning 3D visuals. With a gacha mechanic, players can recruit and train over 20 Uma Musumes to compete in races and deliver dazzling performances.

According to PocketGamer.biz, the Japanese version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby amassed over $2.5 billion in mobile revenue within four years by March 2025, nearing $1 billion in its debut year of 2021. Cygames aims to replicate this triumph globally with the English release.
