Ubisoft Patches AC Origins, Valhalla for Windows 11 Compatibility

We’re back with another installment of our series, "How is Ubisoft today?" Despite the ongoing challenges within the upper management, there’s a silver lining to share. One of the longstanding issues plaguing gamers has finally been resolved.

It appears Ubisoft has successfully addressed the compatibility issues between their Assassin’s Creed titles and the Windows 11 24H2 update. Since the fall of 2024, games like Assassin’s Creed Origins, Valhalla, and others stopped running correctly on the updated operating system. This frustrating glitch has now been fixed through newly released patches, announced on the Steam pages for Origins and Valhalla.

Players in the comment sections are elated and have chosen to withhold criticism, acknowledging this time that the problem stemmed from Windows rather than Ubisoft. Many are expressing gratitude for the much-needed resolution. However, the overall review status for both games remains at "Mixed."

There’s optimism surrounding the upcoming release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Its launch has been pushed to March 20, as Ubisoft focuses on enhancing the game’s quality. Given its importance, the success of this title could significantly impact the future of the company.
