Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, is set to make a surprising return to the roster of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being initially included in the announced lineup. This exciting news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

According to Bagley, the game was already completed when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, insisting on Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it was impossible, Hawk's determination prevailed, showcasing his commitment to ensuring Margera's presence in the game. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Margera's journey has been tumultuous, marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, including multiple rehab stints. His professional life has also seen significant challenges, notably being fired from Jackass Forever and facing a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine due to alleged threats. However, recent footage of Margera skateboarding with Tony Hawk sparked speculation about his potential return to the game.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, the game has overcome significant hurdles, including the threat of cancellation following Activision's merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
