Texas Horror Classic Revived for 2024

Sumo Digital announces a crucial update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre, launching June 25th, 2024, across all platforms. This patch focuses heavily on fixing character skill tree issues, primarily affecting Cook, Julie, and the recently added killer, Hands. It also tackles several UI and visual bugs for a smoother, more polished gameplay experience.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Digital's asymmetrical horror game inspired by the 1974 classic, pits the terrifying Slaughter family against their victims in intense 3v4 multiplayer matches. The game's chilling atmosphere and faithful recreation of the film's iconic setting have earned widespread praise.

The June 25th update introduces the Hitchhiker’s Claymore outfit, a new cosmetic item available for $2.99 USD. Beyond this cosmetic addition, the update includes significant gameplay improvements. The lobby cooldown penalty has been refined for more efficient matchmaking. Several critical skill tree bugs have been eradicated. Cook's and Julie's skill trees have been adjusted to allow players to reach level 10 on all paths, adding crucial Attribute Point nodes where necessary.

Hands, the newest killer, receives substantial adjustments. An exploit that allowed excessive stamina usage via his Ability Tree has been patched. Issues with his "Reduce Defensive Barge Stamina Cost" ability upgrades have also been resolved, ensuring proper functionality at all tiers.

Further fixes include correcting incorrect connection lines in various skill trees, resolving a UI bug displaying removed perks in character loadouts, and addressing visual issues, such as problems with Maria's hair textures and model visibility. Sumo Digital continues to actively incorporate player feedback to refine the overall gaming experience.
