Streamer Completes Impossible FromSoftware Challenge After Two Years

FromSoftware games are notorious for their punishing difficulty, as evidenced by Kai Cenat's over one thousand deaths while attempting to conquer Elden Ring. This backdrop makes the feats of players who embrace even greater challenges all the more awe-inspiring.

Streamer Dinossindgeil has etched his name into the annals of gaming history by becoming the first person to successfully complete the God Run 3 SL1 challenge. This Herculean task involved completing seven FromSoftware games consecutively without leveling up or sustaining a single hit. Dinossindgeil dedicated nearly two years to this endeavor, culminating in an emotional victory over the final boss, Soul of Cinder, in Dark Souls III. Overwhelmed by the achievement, he couldn't contain his tears.

The God Run 3 SL1 is widely regarded as the pinnacle of difficulty within the FromSoftware community. The challenge demands that players complete seven games in sequence, without any level-ups and without taking any damage. The rules are strict: a single hit means starting the entire run over, no matter how far one has progressed.

Dinossindgeil's journey was fraught with numerous attempts. In the summer of 2024, a run was thwarted by a bug in Dark Souls II, where an arrow inexplicably clipped through a wall. At that point, he had already triumphed over Elden Ring and Dark Souls I, yet he had no choice but to begin anew.

It remains to be seen how FromSoftware will respond to this monumental achievement. What is undeniable, however, is that Dinossindgeil has cemented his legacy in the world of gaming.
