Stellars' Blademap Outlines Updates' Future

Shift Up, the developer behind the popular action game Stellar Blade, has unveiled its plans for upcoming updates and future content. The game, a notable release this year, has garnered a significant following, leading to high anticipation for future developments. According to a presentation by Shift Up CFO Ahn Jae-woo, several updates are on the horizon. A highly anticipated Photo Mode is slated for release around August. New character skins are in the works and will be available sometime after October. Furthermore, a major collaboration is planned for the end of 2024; speculation points towards a partnership with the Nier series, given the known relationship between the directors and Stellar Blade's clear inspiration from Nier: Automata.

The positive outlook for Stellar Blade's continued success has fueled anticipation for a sequel. While Shift Up is exploring the possibility of paid DLC, the development of a Stellar Blade sequel has been confirmed, although details remain scarce.
