Sonos Arc Soundbar Discontinued: Final $300 Discount

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 23,2025

Sonos rarely discounts its popular speakers, making it smart to act quickly when a good sale appears. Currently, Amazon and Walmart are selling the highly-rated Sonos Arc soundbar for just $599, thanks to a significant $300 instant discount. This model appears to have been discontinued and has been succeeded by the new Arc Ultra. It is currently out of stock on the Sonos website and is unlikely to return, except possibly in the company's refurbished section.

The Arc was Sonos' flagship soundbar before the recent launch of the Arc Ultra, which is priced at $1,000 and has not been discounted since its release. This premium 45-inch soundbar features eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including three tweeters and eight mid-woofers. It is also Dolby Atmos-ready with two dedicated height channels. You can easily pair the Arc with other Sonos speakers and subwoofers using the intuitive app, making Sonos a top recommendation for those who want excellent sound without the typical complexity of AV setup. Additional features include an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and a built-in microphone for voice commands.

While the new Arc Ultra has a similar appearance and mostly comparable dimensions to the original Arc (being 1.5 inches wider, 0.4 inches shorter, and 0.4 inches shallower), its internals are significantly upgraded. The Arc Ultra houses fourteen speakers, comprising seven tweeters, six mid-woofers, and a new Sound Motion four-motor dual-membrane woofer. In addition to delivering bigger and clearer bass, the Arc Ultra excels at separating vocal tracks and improving dialogue clarity. It also includes built-in Bluetooth, a feature notably absent from the original Arc.

Sonos Arc Ultra Review by Nick Woodard

"With the Arc Ultra, Sonos took an industry-leading soundbar and made it markedly better in several ways. It’s an overall better-sounding bar with bigger bass and a larger ensemble of drivers working in concert to immerse you in the content you love. Add in things like Bluetooth support and Android Trueplay compatibility, and you’re met with a soundbar that lives up to its sizable price tag. There’s still a few nitpicks to be had, and Sonos is clearly still reeling from its app and headphones fiascos. But the Arc Ultra is undeniable proof that Sonos still makes some of the best wireless speakers available today, even if it doesn’t stick the landing every time out."
