The Marvel Rivals Spring Festival is here, bringing a bounty of free rewards, and the highlight is undoubtedly the free Star-Lord outfit! Here's your guide to snagging this coveted skin in NetEase Games’ Marvel Rivals Fortune & Colors event.

How to Get the Free Star-Lord Lion’s Mane Skin in Marvel Rivals

This event uses a special in-game currency called Danqing (represented by a paintbrush and red paint). You earn Danqing by completing challenges in the new Clash of Dancing Lions game mode, as well as in Quick Play and Competitive modes.

While daily challenges will vary, the event challenges remain consistent. Here are the currently available Fortune & Colors quests:

• Complete 3 Clash of Dancing Lions matches.
• Intercept the ball 3 times in a single Clash of Dancing Lions match.

Once you've accumulated enough Danqing, head to the event pass to unlock rewards. Unlocking the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin requires 900 Danqing. While that might seem like a lot, the Fortune & Colors event runs until February 14th, giving you ample time to complete challenges.

Try the Star-Lord Skin Without Unlocking It

Don't want to grind for Danqing but still want to experience the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin? The Clash of Dancing Lions mode (similar to Rocket League, but with superheroes!) features only three playable characters: Star-Lord, Black Widow, and Iron Fist—all sporting their Spring Festival skins. Simply playing this mode lets you try them out!

If Clash of Dancing Lions convinces you to add these skins to your collection, consider the Dancing Lions bundle in the in-game store. It offers the Iron Fist Lion’s Gaze and Black Widow Lion’s Heartbeat skins for 2,800 Units (approximately $20), a good deal compared to purchasing the skins individually.
