STALKER 2: How to Master the Joke Quest in Rookie Village

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 25,2025

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl features engaging NPC interactions that often lead Skif on brief side quests. One standout encounter is with Lyonchyk Sprat in Rookie Village, offering a memorable moment in the game. This quest involves assisting Lyonchyk in sharing a joke with fellow stalkers to earn their friendship and join their group.

Rushing through missions might cause players to overlook this charming interaction. Here’s a guide to locating and completing the Joke quest in STALKER 2’s Rookie Village.

How to Complete the Joke Quest from Lyonchyk Sprat in the Rookie Village

Lyonchyk Sprat is found in Rookie Village, situated in the Cordon region of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Upon reaching the village center, he’ll call out to Skif. The conversation begins with Lyonchyk attempting, and failing, to tell a joke.

This leads to a request for help in delivering a joke to stalkers gathered around a bonfire, aiming to win their approval. Accepting his plea launches the quest to aid Lyonchyk in sharing a joke, paving the way for his inclusion in the group.

Help Lyonchyk Sprat Tell a Joke

Once the quest begins, Lyonchyk instructs Skif to climb to an attic and await his signal. Nearby, a ladder leads to the attic of a house next to the bonfire. Ascend and position yourself to advance the quest.

Players can select from various joke options, each eliciting a unique reaction from the crowd. Regardless of the choice, Lyonchyk will successfully deliver the joke, and the quest will be marked as complete.

Receiving Reward from Lyonchyk

After the interaction, descend and meet Lyonchyk Sprat at his original spot. He’ll express gratitude for helping him join the stalker circle and reward Skif with 900 coupons.

However, if no joke option is chosen, allowing Lyonchyk to perform solo, the quest fails. Lyonchyk will flee the bonfire group, sobbing near a house and blaming Skif for abandoning him.
