Spotify Outage: Service Currently Unavailable

Heads up: the popular music streaming service, Spotify, experienced an outage this morning. According to Downdetector, a sister site of IGN, reports of the Spotify outages started coming in around 6 a.m. PT today, with the issues persisting throughout the morning. Our team at IGN also faced difficulties accessing the service; even when we managed to open the app, it failed to play any music.

Spotify has officially acknowledged the situation and is actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible. The company has also debunked rumors circulating about the outage being caused by a security hack, confirming that such claims are untrue.
