Spooky Armor Unveiled in Destiny 2

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Spooky Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players will soon cast their votes for new Festival of the Lost armor sets, themed around a "Slashers vs. Spectres" showdown featuring iconic horror villains. This year's event lets fans choose between armor designs inspired by figures like Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Babadook, La Llorona, and even Slenderman. The winning sets will be available in October. The previously unreleased Wizard armor from the 2024 event will also be made available during Episode Heresy.

The announcement, however, comes amidst growing community frustration. While the new armor is exciting, many players express concern over persistent bugs and a decline in player numbers throughout Episode Revenant. Issues like broken tonics and other gameplay problems, though largely addressed by Bungie, have negatively impacted player sentiment. The focus on a Halloween event ten months out has also surprised some, who feel the current state of the game needs more immediate attention.

Key Highlights:

  • Slashers vs. Spectres: Players vote for armor sets inspired by horror icons. Slashers include Jason, Ghostface, and a Scarecrow Warlock set. Spectres feature Babadook, La Llorona, and a Slenderman Warlock set.
  • Festival of the Lost 2025: The event is scheduled for October.
  • Community Concerns: Negative player sentiment persists due to bugs, declining player counts, and perceived lack of developer response to current issues.
  • Wizard Armor Return: The 2024 Wizard armor will be released during Episode Heresy.

The upcoming Festival of the Lost promises thrilling new cosmetic options, but the excitement is tempered by ongoing concerns about the overall game experience.
