Following the brief showcase of Silksong at the Nintendo Direct for the upcoming Switch 2 on April 2, speculation arose that the game might bypass the current generation and launch exclusively on the next-gen console. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and the first Switch, and later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox, Silksong's platform availability has been a topic of interest.

Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to address these concerns. He confirmed that Silksong will indeed be available on both the original Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2.

While specifics on how the versions will vary have not been disclosed, it's anticipated that the Switch 2 version will benefit from enhanced resolution and other improved features of the new console.
