The highly anticipated Shrek 5 has just unveiled its revamped cast along with an exciting new teaser trailer, leaving even Movie Sonic puzzled by Shrek's fresh appearance. IGN provided the first glimpse of the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie back in 2018, which sparked a wave of mixed reactions, particularly regarding Sonic's teeth, physique, small eyes, and human-like fingers. In response to the widespread criticism, director Jeff Fowler opted to revise the contentious design, promising a more authentic representation of the beloved character. The updated design was received much more favorably by fans.

While the reactions to Shrek's new look may not be as divisive as Sonic's initial live-action debut, Sonic's playful jab at Shrek has nonetheless entertained fans. One user commented, "You know it's bad when you see the Sonic Movie account giving Shrek 5 advice," while another remarked, "No way they actually posted this," accompanied by a crying emoji.
