Shiny Pokemon Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket

Pokémon TCG Pocket is receiving a major update featuring Shiny Pokémon! Literally bringing the sparkle, The Pokémon Company has announced these coveted variants will debut in the digital card game through the Shining Revelry expansion.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars - the Shining Revelry expansion launches March 27th, 2025. This update introduces over 110 new cards, including shimmering Shiny versions of fan favorites like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu.

The digital format will make these rare cards visually spectacular, with dynamic shine effects that activate when tilting your device. Starting April 1st, players can also obtain exclusive Shiny Charizard-themed display boards and binders to showcase their collection.

Beyond Shinies, the update brings new Pokémon and Trainers from Scarlet and Violet, featuring beloved characters including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and the popular Gym Leader Iono.

From March 28th to April 27th, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions to earn tickets redeemable for one of nine special starter decks. Take a look at the first wave of Shiny Pokémon coming to TCG Pocket!

Shiny Pokémon have been a TCG staple since Neo Destiny introduced them during the second generation. The Hidden Fates set later revolutionized Shiny collecting with its extensive Shiny Vault subset.

Ranked Matches Arrive At Last!

After much anticipation, ranked competitive play is coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. The inaugural season runs from March 28th through April 27th, featuring Shining Revelry cards. The matchmaking system will pair players against opponents of similar skill levels.
