Look for the telltale swirling icon when selecting a level; its presence indicates a hidden portal within that stage. These portals are often well-hidden, sometimes appearing early in a level, other times at the very end.

Hidden Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail

Midway through the level, you'll encounter a dark chamber with a wall flanked by four lit torches. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This will reveal the hidden portal.

Hidden Portal #2: Creamy Canyon

Early in the level, you'll find a snowy arena with a bouncing ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it, and aim towards the icy statue at the platform's edge. Releasing the pig will destroy the statue. Backtrack, flip over the ladybug, and bounce to the higher platform. Perform a charged spin attack to uncover the portal.

Hidden Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates the spot for a charged spin attack. This will unearth a hidden chamber containing the portal.

Hidden Portal #4: Downsize Surprise

Towards the level's end, you'll find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to initiate bubble production. Shrink your size and ride a bubble to a branch above a bot (you might need to switch bubbles). From there, navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.

Hidden Portal #5: Free Big Brother!

This portal is easily accessible. At the level's start, turn around to find platforms with an electric enemy. Lure it to electrocute the platforms, revealing the hidden wall and portal.

Hidden Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle

Locate the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, ascend to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend through the chimney to find the portal.

Hidden Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid

At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. A bounce pad leads to a hidden area. You'll trigger a trap; find the hidden switches in the walls to open the path to the portal.

Hidden Portal #8: Balloon Breeze

This is the most challenging portal. Obtain the puffer-fish power-up and backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Flip the ladybug towards the platform, activate the puffer-fish, and use Astro's hover to reach it. Use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal, then activate it by circling its perimeter.

Hidden Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Glowing ground indicates invisible platforms. Hover to each, then use the rug to reach the final platform containing the portal.

Hidden Portal #10: Frozen Meal

Before the boss fight, roll the snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside, where the final portal awaits.
