SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered Enhances Android with New Visuals, Content

Square Enix has brought back the beloved classic, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered, now available on mobile and other platforms. Originally released on the PlayStation in 1999 in Japan and in 2000 in North America and Europe, this remastered version revives the game with enhanced visuals and additional content.

SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered Is Now Available on Android

Set in the enchanting world of Sandail, where the mysterious force known as Anima powers magic, SaGa Frontier 2 follows the intertwined stories of two protagonists. Gustave, a member of royalty who lacks magical abilities, and William Knights, a young adventurer from a family dedicated to uncovering ancient relics called Quells.

Gustave's journey begins with his banishment from the Kingdom of Finney due to his inability to use Anima, a pivotal aspect of their society. On the other hand, William's quest is driven by the mystery surrounding his parents' death and the enigmatic relic known as the Egg, which has the power to manipulate minds.

The remastered version of SaGa Frontier 2 boasts upgraded graphics with higher resolution, showcasing beautifully detailed watercolour backgrounds that are now crisper than ever. The user interface has been redesigned for better navigation while maintaining the game's classic feel.

What Else Is New?

In addition to the visual enhancements, SaGa Frontier 2: Remastered introduces new storylines that seamlessly integrate with the original plot. The combat system remains a highlight, offering three distinct types of battles: Party Battles, Duels, and Warfare. Party Battles follow the traditional RPG format, while Duels are intense one-on-one encounters where strategic moves are crucial.

Warfare, on the other hand, involves large-scale strategic engagements, ensuring that each combat type offers a unique and engaging experience, steering clear of repetitive battles. The game also reintroduces the glimmer system, allowing players to learn new techniques during combat, and the combo mechanic, which rewards players for chaining attacks with their team.
