  • Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault has revealed its eight finalists.
  • Defending champion Alessandro Bianco will compete against seven other qualifiers on May 24th.
  • These eight finalists will be divided into two teams, each captained by a tennis legend.

If anyone questioned the scale of Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault in the esports arena, consider this: 515,000 competitors from 221 nations battled through 9.5 million Tennis Clash matches for a shot at the Final Stage. Only eight made it, setting the scene for an unforgettable showdown.

Joining reigning titleholder Alessandro Bianco and first Open Qualifier winner Hizir Balkanci are Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. They will clash in a high-stakes tournament on May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.

Adding to the excitement, this year’s format is set to deliver even more thrills. The eight finalists will form two squads, each guided by a tennis icon. Former ATP world No. 6 Gilles Simon—who was also among last year’s finalists—will captain one team, while ex-Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli leads the other.

The teams will go head-to-head in a series of matches, with winners advancing to the Winner Bracket. But elimination doesn’t mean the end—defeated players will get a second chance in the Loser Bracket. At that stage, team allegiances dissolve, and only one can emerge as the Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

Audiences will be guided through the action by Samuel Etienne, a popular French TV host and Twitch streamer with over a million followers. He’ll be joined by esports specialist Quento and former Tennis Clash world No. 1 Benny, also known as GP365. The tournament will capture the Roland-Garros atmosphere, featuring a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom player apparel. Respired French umpire Aurélie Tourte will officiate what promises to be a thrilling series of matches.

Attendance will be limited to 250 spectators in the auditorium, with the event also streaming live on Samuel Etienne’s Twitch channel and the Roland-Garros YouTube channel at 4 PM CEST. Fans can catch every match and participate in interactive segments, with special guests offering lively commentary and exploring the worlds of tennis and eTennis.
