Roland-Garros eSeries 2025 Features a New eSports Team Format in Tennis Clash

The Roland-Garros eSeries is set to make a thrilling return in 2025, inviting players from across the globe to compete on the virtual clay courts of Tennis Clash. This year, the tournament introduces an exciting new team-based format, with the guidance of legendary tennis captains and a €5,000 prize pool up for grabs. Key sponsors Renault and Mastercard are returning, offering players the chance to customize their avatars with the official Roland-Garros 2025 outfits and the exclusive Renault 5 Roland-Garros string.

When Does It Start?

Mark your calendars—the Roland-Garros eSeries will kick off in March with open qualifiers, providing the first opportunity for players to battle it out for a spot in the finals. The qualifying stages are scheduled from March 6-11, March 20-25, and April 3-8, paving the way for the elite contenders. The top female players from the first two qualifiers will join the overall winners, setting the stage for an intense showdown. The finalists will compete at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum Auditorium on May 24th, with live audiences and streaming available on Twitch.

What’s New This Year?

The Roland-Garros eSeries 2025 brings a fresh twist with its team-based format, moving away from solo competitions. Finalists will be organized into teams, each led by a prominent figure in French tennis. One confirmed captain is Gilles Simon, a former ATP world No. 6 and Davis Cup champion. Simon, who has served as a commentator since 2023 and competed in the 2024 Top 8, will coach one of the squads. The identity of the rival captain remains a mystery, but organizers have hinted that it will be a Grand Slam winner.

Once the teams are finalized, the competition will intensify. The winning team from the initial phase will advance to the winner's side of the double-elimination bracket, while the losing team will start in the loser's bracket. Defending champion Alessandro ΔLEX Bianco is set to return, joined by the two Grand Tour finalists. With an impressive 548,000 participants from 215 territories last year, anticipation for this year's event is sky-high.
