Rockstar Releases Anniversary Update for Bully After Six Years

Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just rolled out an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. Yes, you heard that right—after a six-year hiatus, they've finally given Bully some love! This update is exclusive to mobile platforms, leaving console and PC gamers waiting on the sidelines.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition's latest update brings a host of new languages and focuses on enhancing stability and squashing bugs. Notably, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges, but they're working on bringing them back.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), giving visuals a more realistic depth. Both Android and iOS users can enjoy an updated app icon and the added touch of haptic feedback.

Several missions have been fixed, including 'That Bitch,' where picking Mandy's locker was previously impossible, and 'Weed Killer,' which wouldn't progress if you broke the window too soon. 'The Rumble' no longer features police cars falling through the floor. The update also addresses enemies who wouldn't attack Jimmy, ensuring more balanced and engaging fights. Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been resolved as well.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The Bully community has long been clamoring for a sequel, but Rockstar appears to have shifted focus elsewhere. Rumors of Bully 2 surfaced in the 2010s, but it was reportedly shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and the lucrative GTA Online. With GTA 6 on the horizon, hopes for Bully 2 are dimming, especially with many original developers no longer at Rockstar.

While this update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players. For newcomers, Bully offers a unique take on the schoolyard sandbox genre. You step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old rebel navigating the chaos of Bullworth Academy, all wrapped in Rockstar's signature humor and open-world mischief.

So, dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition available on the Google Play Store for €7.99, complete with full gamepad support.
