How to Respec in Avowed

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 05,2025

Re-rolling your Avowed character? It happens! This guide shows you how to respec your abilities, attributes, and even your companion's stats.

When to Respec:

Starting a new game can be tricky. Figuring out the perfect build takes time. If your current character isn't fun to play, or you want to optimize your combat effectiveness, respecing is the answer. I initially went full wizard, but found myself needing a spellsword build – respecing made all the difference!

Respeccing Abilities:

Open your menu and select "Abilities." At the bottom, you'll find "Reset Points." The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with game progress. Click, confirm, and pay to reset all ability points (except "Godlike" abilities, which are acquired through in-game choices).

Respeccing Attributes:

Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Go to the menu's "Character" section. Underneath your attribute list, you'll see a button to reset them for a cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing later). Click, pay, and redistribute your points!

Respeccing Companions:

To respec your companion, open the menu, navigate to "Abilities," then the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name is a button to reset their points for a Copper Skeyt cost. Remember: you must respec each companion individually.

That's how to respec in Avowed! Enjoy your newly optimized character.
