You can enjoy it in couch co-op split-screen mode on one display, or through online co-op with just one copy of the game. Remarkably, this works cross-platform, so you can play with friends on different consoles or PCs.

What Is Split Fiction?

Split Fiction is a two-player action adventure game centered around a pair of writers—one specializing in sci-fi and the other in fantasy—who find themselves pulled into their own fictional worlds. Players must collaborate to combat enemies and solve puzzles within levels inspired by both genres. You might find yourselves racing on Tron-style motorcycles over gravity plates in one level, then transforming into mythical creatures in an enchanted forest in another.

The game also features portals to "side stories," which are essentially minigames. These include riding a "sand fish" through a desert reminiscent of Dune, or water skiing behind a drone over the sea.
