Totodile Returns for Pokémon Go Community Day Classic

Pokémon Go’s March Community Day Classic features the return of Totodile, offering another opportunity to catch large numbers of this Big Jaw Pokémon. On March 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Totodile will appear much more frequently in the wild, with a chance of encountering its rare Shiny variant.

Evolving Croconaw during the event or up until March 29 at 10:00 p.m. local time will result in a Feraligatr that knows the powerful Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. In Trainer Battles, this move deals 80 damage, while in Gyms and raids it hits for 90—making Feraligatr a strong addition to any Water-type roster.

For dedicated trainers, a Community Day Classic Special Research story will be available for $2 (or local equivalent). Completing it grants rewards such as a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and multiple Totodile encounters, some of which feature a special Seasonal Background.

Players who log in during the event will also receive week-long Timed Research, providing another path to catch Totodile and evolve a Hydro Cannon Feraligatr before the deadline. Don’t forget to redeem the latest Pokémon Go codes for extra free items.

Throughout the event, several bonuses will be active to enhance your experience. Eggs will hatch at 1/4 the normal distance while in an Incubator, and Lure Modules and Incense will remain effective for three hours. Taking a snapshot during Community Day might also yield a fun surprise.

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available from PokéStops, rewarding Stardust, Great Balls, and additional Totodile encounters. Also watch for PokéStop Showcases, where you can enter Pokémon caught during the event to compete for rankings.
