Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing a string of titles. Following their deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Delving into the Darkside Detective Universe

The game unfolds on a gloomy, fog-laden night in Twin Lakes, a city where the strange, supernatural, and downright absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley, as they navigate the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department.

Nine quirky cases await, immersing players in the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel. These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time travel mysteries and monstrous tentacles to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. The game is a playful homage to pop culture, referencing classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone hint at the quirky gameplay: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's humor is a standout feature, woven seamlessly into every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of its predecessor, also available on Google Play.
