"Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage Hits Mobile Soon"

Among the most eagerly awaited releases I covered last year, one that stands out is the upcoming Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage. The original Pirates Outlaws was a stylish, swashbuckling roguelike deckbuilder that hit the scene when the genre was still relatively new. Now, its sequel is set to launch in Q3 of this year!

This "seaquel" brings you back to the high seas of New Elysia, embarking on another thrilling journey across the ocean waves. Simply choose your character, select a class ability, and pick a starting deck to begin your voyage!

In Pirates Outlaws 2, you have the option to choose from multiple characters, each with seven class options. You can customize your deck and even recruit an animal companion, adding strategic depth to your battles. With enhanced turn-based combat and a new card evolution tree, you'll have plenty of tools at your disposal to conquer the seas!

Run out the gunsPirates Outlaws 2 promises to be a significantly expanded sequel, allowing you to explore back and forth across the map and offering even more permutations and combinations of cards and characters. For those on PC, an upcoming Steam demo will be your first chance to get your hands on Pirates Outlaws 2!

My only concern is the animations shown in the reveal trailer, which seem a bit static to me. While fully animating these illustrations is challenging, I'm hopeful that the final release will feature more dynamic effects when it launches on mobile later this year.
