A Perfect Day Is a New Time-Loop Narrative Puzzle Where You Go Back to 1999

A Perfect Day Pocket – Go Back to 1999, a new Android title from Littoral Games, offers a charming, nostalgic experience reminiscent of their previous hits, Growing Up and Chinese Parents. The game boasts a similar watercolor art style, beautifully depicting a story that unfolds through evocative visuals.

For a limited time, enjoy a launch week price of $1.99 (February 27th – March 5th). Afterward, the price increases to $2.99. Pre-registered players can claim a Panda Quake Mini 4WD by visiting Brother Cao in the game's Youth Palace. An additional limited-time Easter egg, the Old Uniform, is available in 'My Bedroom' until March 26th.

Stepping Back to 1999:

As the title suggests, the game transports you to 1999, a hallmark of Littoral Games' focus on 90s and early 2000s nostalgia. You'll relive the final day of 1999 through a time-loop puzzle narrative.

A Perfect Day – Go Back to 1999 features seven time segments, eleven main characters, twenty event cards, and a free DLC. Players control an elementary schoolboy trapped in a time loop, similar to Groundhog Day, striving to create a "perfect day" for everyone around him. Throughout the repeating December 31st, 1999, secrets about classmates, friends, and family are uncovered.

Relive, Revisit, and Rewrite:

The gameplay centers on memories, regrets, and the consequences of choices. Revisit childhood friendships, explore the lives of the characters' parents, and make decisions that impact the narrative's unfolding. The interconnected storyline allows for multiple outcomes with each repeated day.

The game also incorporates several mini-games—a Mini 4WD race, a Gamicom console, and an arcade—perfectly capturing the essence of 90s gaming. The blend of interactive storytelling and nostalgic visuals makes this a worthwhile experience.
