Witch Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Infernalist

The Infernalist stands out as one of the most powerful Witches in the current meta, wielding an impressive arsenal of fire spells. If you're a fan of summoning minions, you'll be thrilled with the new Infernal Hound skill, a fiery companion summoned straight from the underworld. Moreover, the Infernalist can transform into a demonic beast, boosting attack damage and mobility at the cost of faster health depletion. To mitigate this, the Loyal Hellhound skill becomes crucial, while Beidat's Will ties Spirit to maximum HP, encouraging investment in Strength and HP to command an army of the undead.

Blood Mage

Though not as balanced or popular as the Infernalist, the Blood Mage offers a thrilling gameplay experience. With Sanguimancy, you'll tread a delicate line between life and death, using HP instead of MP, making every move a calculated risk. Skills like Vitality Siphon and Life Remnants help you drain health from foes, while Sunder the Flesh and Gore Spike enhance your critical hit and attack damage, respectively.

Sorcerer Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Stormweaver

As a Stormweaver, you'll harness massive elemental damage, often with high critical hit chances, to trigger Elemental Storm via Tempest Caller. Inflicting status ailments on enemies is key, aided by the passive skill Strike Twice. Utilize Spirit Gems to amplify your elemental attacks against afflicted enemy groups. Enhance your spellcasting speed and MP regeneration with Constant Gale and Force of Will, and boost survivability with the Heart of the Storm node, which converts part of Elemental Damage into an Energy Shield.

Chronomancer

The Chronomancer introduces a unique gameplay mechanic not seen in the original Path of Exile, manipulating time to control the battle's flow. While not currently the strongest Sorcerer Ascendancy, it holds immense potential with spells like Temporal Rift and Time Freeze, offering fresh combat strategies. Skills like Now and Again, Apex of the Moment, and Quicksand Hourglass further enhance your time manipulation capabilities.

Warrior Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Warbringer

The Warbringer blends war cries with totem summons, excelling in close combat and maximizing melee damage. This tactic is particularly effective against bosses, as totems can divert enemy attention and absorb damage. Enhance your armor penetration with Imploding Impacts and Anvil’s Weight, and utilize Warcaller’s Bellow to make enemy corpses explode upon using a Warcry. For a defensive approach, consider Renly’s Training and Turtle Charm to bolster your shield and blocking skills.

Titan

For those who prefer controlling the battlefield with less risk, the Titan offers powerful, albeit slower, attacks that paralyze foes. Stone Skin and Mysterious Lineage significantly boost your defensive stats, turning you into a walking fortress. Yet, don't underestimate the Titan's offensive capabilities; Earthbreaker and Ancestral Empowerment enhance your Slam abilities, while Surprising Strength increases damage against stunned enemies.

Monk Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Invoker

The Invoker empowers Monks with elemental prowess, offering a melee-focused class that annihilates enemies through elemental damage and status effects. Utilizing Power Charges to enhance skills adds strategic depth, making the Invoker a versatile choice on the battlefield.

Acolyte of Chayula

Embrace the Darkness as an Acolyte of Chayula, harnessing dark forces for exceptional survivability by forgoing Spirit entirely. While Consuming Questions and Mana Leech bolster your defenses, be cautious as this setup currently lacks efficiency due to the removal of the Energy Shield’s cooldown. As of version 0.1.1, this Ascendancy is less potent than the Invoker but holds promise for future updates.

Mercenary Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Witchhunter

The Witchhunter excels at swiftly eliminating demons and the undead, dealing increased damage on both the first and last hits. Passive skills like Pitiless Killer, Damage vs Low Life Enemies, and Judge, Jury, and Executioner are vital for boss fights. Witchbane and No Mercy enhance your ability to reduce enemy concentration and deal more damage, while Zealous Inquisition has a chance to make slain enemies explode, damaging nearby foes.

Gemling Legionnaire

The Gemling Legionnaire revolves around the strategic use of gems, enhancing resistances and skill levels based on gem colors and quality. Thaumaturgical Infusion, Crystalline Potential, and Implanted Gems boost your character's capabilities, while Advanced Thaumaturgy and Adaptive Capability reduce skill costs and attribute requirements. Integrated Efficiency adds three additional active skill slots, and Gem Studded allows for the use of two identical Support stones, offering vast potential for unique builds.

Ranger Ascendancy Classes in PoE2

Deadeye

Favoring ranged combat, the Deadeye enhances attack range and damage output with unique passive skills. Endless Munitions adds an extra projectile per skill use, ideal for clearing screens of enemies. This path is perfect for those who prefer traditional bows and focus on elemental damage, benefiting from increased movement speed, additional projectiles, and an extra Mark.

Pathfinder

If you're drawn to poison mechanics, the Pathfinder is your ideal choice. This class doubles the effectiveness of poison, thanks to Overwhelming Toxicity, albeit with a shorter debuff duration. Master the use of gas grenades combined with high movement speed and slow resistance to blanket the battlefield in toxic mist, offering a unique and potent gameplay style.

Keep in mind that we've only covered twelve of the planned thirty-six Ascendancy Classes. As PoE2 progresses through early access, these are the currently available specialization paths for your characters. More will be added over time, and future updates may alter passive skills, so the details in this guide may differ from the final version.
