When Does Every Party Member Join In Metaphor: ReFantazio?

Metaphor: ReFantazio's expansive party: A guide to recruiting your companions.

Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your quest in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing unique combat skills. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat role is initially limited.

Spoiler Warning: This guide reveals the recruitment timing of each party member. Reading ahead may spoil aspects of the game's narrative.

Recruitment Schedule:

Each party member's journey involves an "awakening" to their Archetype, a power usable by other party members. Early recruits may be initially AI-controlled before their awakening.

• Storhl (Warrior): Joins on 6/5 (Border Fort events), awakens and becomes playable on 6/6 (Nord Mines).

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a full party member (summonable Archetype) on 6/6 after Storhl's awakening. Grius does not undergo a traditional awakening.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Interacts with the party from 6/10, fully joins and awakens on 6/11 (during a boss fight).

• Heismay (Thief): Awakens and joins the party on 7/4 (Martira dungeon).

• Junah (Masked Dancer): Awakens and joins on 8/13.

• Eupha (Summoner): Joins the party for the final boss fight after completing the Dragon Temple dungeon anytime between 8/19 and 9/4. Her Bond quest, however, begins after this deadline.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins on 9/11 (Saint's Day events), becoming fully playable the following day (optional).
