Following the leak, the Virtuos website has become nearly inaccessible, with most pages, except the main landing page, currently down. Despite efforts to scrub the details, the leaked images and information have already spread widely across the internet.

According to VGC, the remastered game will officially be titled The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It is being developed through a collaborative effort between Virtuos and Bethesda's studios in Dallas and Rockville. Virtuos, known for its work on numerous remasters including The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, brings its expertise to this project.

The remaster is set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S (with Game Pass availability), and PlayStation 5. A Deluxe Edition is also in the works, which will include additional bonuses such as weapons and horse armor, playfully referencing the controversial 2006 DLC.

Rumors of an Oblivion remaster have been circulating for quite some time, with initial leaks stemming from the Microsoft-FTC trial documents in 2023. Subsequent reports have consistently hinted at an impending release, with some recent speculation suggesting a possible shadow-drop as early as this month.

As of now, there has been no official statement or reveal from the developers. However, with the wealth of information that has surfaced, it appears that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is on the horizon and may be arriving sooner than expected.
