Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released

Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the event also unveiled Ninja Gaiden 4, the highly anticipated next installment in Koei Tecmo's acclaimed series. Scheduled for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to action-packed ninja combat.

The debut trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a visually stunning cyberpunk city perpetually drenched in toxic rain. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative mechanics, such as swift traversal using wires and rails, as showcased in the gameplay footage. Players will confront waves of genetically modified soldiers and horrifying creatures from another realm, all while striving to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

In addition to the new game, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 was announced. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), this updated version leverages the Unreal Engine 5. Team Ninja has meticulously overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later games in the series, and adding three new playable characters.

Koei Tecmo's extensive efforts on both the new game and the remaster are certainly deserving of the community's attention.
