Neverness to Everness is set to hold its first closed beta test, but only in China

Hotta Studios' open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – but only in mainland China. While international fans will have to watch from the sidelines, Gematsu offers a glimpse into the game's expanding lore. The new details highlight a blend of humor and the strange juxtaposition of the ordinary and extraordinary within the game's world of Hetherau, showcased in trailers featuring the city of Eibon (see below).

Developed by Hotta Studios (a subsidiary of Perfect World, the creators of Tower of Fantasy), Neverness to Everness distinguishes itself within the crowded 3D RPG market with a unique feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize a variety of vehicles, but be warned – crashes are realistically destructive!

The game faces strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches in the mobile 3D open-world RPG landscape.
