Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is closing its doors this October. The announcement, made on Netmarble's official forums, confirmed the shutdown date as October 30th, 2024. In-game purchases have already been disabled, ceasing on June 26th, 2024.

This news comes as a surprise, given the game's longevity (over six years) and generally positive player reception. While lauded for its impressive animations and competitive PvP modes, the developers hinted at a potential lack of new characters as a contributing factor to the closure. However, this is likely just one aspect of a more complex situation. Recent optimization issues and game crashes may have also played a role.

Despite these challenges, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store. Players still have approximately four months to experience the game's legendary fights and crossovers before the servers shut down. You can download it from the Google Play Store.
