Capcom hosted its Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase today, revealing exciting new content coming to the acclaimed monster-hunting franchise. The presentation covered Title Update 1 details, cosmetic DLC additions, unexpected features, and a glimpse at future updates.

Title Update 1 Arrives April 2025

The free update launches globally on April 4, 2025 (April 3 for U.S. players), bringing fresh content to all Monster Hunter Wilds owners. Accompanying the update will be both free and premium DLC, including a new social hub, armor sets, and formidable new monsters to hunt.

The Grand Hub: A Hunter's Social Space

The showcase began by introducing an endgame gathering space called the Grand Hub. This lively area offers numerous social activities including festive meals, arm wrestling competitions, and nightly performances by the Diva. Players can also enjoy the Barrel Bowling mini-game, earning vouchers through gameplay that can be redeemed for special rewards.

Hunters can unlock this social space upon reaching Hunter Rank 16 by speaking with Tetsuzan in Suja's Peaks of Accord region.

Mizutsune Makes Its Wilds Debut

Title Update 1 introduces the fan-favorite Mizutsune, the bubble-spewing Leviathan. This elegant yet deadly creature brings its signature water jets, tail swipes, and bubble-based attacks to the Scarlet Forest. Hunters ranking HR 21 or higher can accept the special assignment from Kanya. Successful hunters will gain access to new armor and weapons crafted from Mizutsune materials.

New Hunting Challenges

The update adds an Arch-tempered Rey Dau event quest, presenting an even greater challenge than standard tempered monsters. This HR 50+ exclusive hunt rewards victors with powerful new armor. Additionally, players can now re-fight the story-exclusive Zoh Shia monster through repeatable quests, complete with its own armor set.

Arena Mode for Competitive Hunters

Speedrunners and competitive players gain dedicated challenges through new Arena Quests. Both timed Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, rewarding participants with exclusive pendants based on performance. These can be accessed via the quest counter in the Grand Hub.

Handler Customization

This includes new stickers, additional Alma outfits, and more.

Seasonal Events will transform the Grand Hub with themed decorations and limited-time meals. The inaugural Festival of Accord: Blossomdance begins April 23, filling the hub with cherry blossoms. These special events offer exclusive equipment, gestures, and decorations unavailable at other times.
