Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a robust selection of both first- and third-party games. Highlights include eagerly anticipated titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more.

The full schedule was detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, promising a packed month starting from April 3. The month kicks off with Gearbox Software's Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) accessible across all Game Pass tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X|S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all available on Game Pass Standard. This initial wave of games offers plenty of content to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. Just five days later, on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be added for all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and draws on folklore for its narrative. It promises to be one of the year's most significant releases for Xbox, and its inclusion in Game Pass is expected to attract a large number of players eager to explore its unique world. Microsoft's official description highlights the game's premise: "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown."

The lineup continues with Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) arriving on April 9, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on April 10, both available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The first wave of April 2025 concludes with Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) joining the service on April 15, exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.

In addition to the new game releases, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and a special Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans celebrating the game's anniversary.
